Kanha National Park is a place where people go for sightings of wild animals. Here, people can spot a lot of animals like tigers, leopards, Barasingha, Gaur, Sloth Bear, etc in their natural habitat. People do that by going on safari rides inside this wild area. The safari takes them jeep inside the Jungle and during the ride, people can spot a lot of different animals and observe them. 1. Bengal Tiger (Panthera Tigris Tigris)

2. Barasingha (Rucervus Duvaucelii)

They are one of the most iconic species of Kanha National Park. Another name for Barasingha is deer and they capture people’s attention with their impressive antlers and striking appearance. They are mostly found in the grassy areas of this scenic park. Wildlife enthusiasts especially book their safaris to watch these graceful deers and take nice pictures of them in lush greenery. At once, they were near extinction but because of the conservation efforts, a good population of Barasingha call this park a home. 

3. Gaur (Bos Gaurus)

They are famous because of their formidable size and strength. One of the most seen animal of Kanha are Gaurs. Gaurs come under the herbivores category and can be seen in the dense forests and hilly terrains of the park. Grazing is the most common thing that Gaurs are mostly doing. People like their distinctive dark coats. They add to the raw beauty of this natural area.

4. Indian Leopard (Panthera Pardus Fusca)

Indian leopards are shy and they don’t easily come in front of people. They are nocturnal and are difficult to be spotted. However, in Kanha National Park, one can easily spot leopards on top of trees. Spotting these elusive leopards totally depends on patience and luck. 

5. Sloth Bear (Melursus Ursinus)

Sloth Bears are charismatic and with their shaggy coat and distinctive white V-shaped mark on the chest, they add a touch of charm to Kanha’s different ecosystem. They are mostly spotted finding insects and fruits in the forested regions. These playful bears offer visitors a glimpse into their unique behaviors and interactions with their surroundings.
